Re-writing history by deleting Santa threads?

I just noticed that someone ( I best not mention his name) just deleted the second thread he started about there not being a Santa.

Is this similar to the winners of wars getting to write history? If everyone comments on how stupid etc you are, just delete the thread and try again. If the reaction is again the same, just delete it again.

Are we all supposed to forget the thread existed? Is history that fragile?

Maybe he was afraid the Mods would notice his nick and ban his new nick?
