Fast forward to 10:53 where Trump whispers a breathy "..thank you very much..." to his Russian master. If Trump were a dog, at this point he would be lying on his back, belly up, fully exposed to the Alpha male. Ironically, Trump is like a Mexican Chihuahua facing a Bull Mastiff. I'm impressed that he resisted the urge to hump Putin's leg. No wonder so many of Terb's pathetic self declared "Righties" identify with the leg humping miniature US President.

Another republican response.

Rep. Will Hurd (R-Texas) on Monday tore into President Trump for refusing to denounce Russian interference in the 2016 election during a joint press conference with Russian President Vladimir Putin.

"There is nothing about agreeing with a thug like Putin that puts America First," Hurd said in a tweet.

"I've seen Russian intelligence manipulate many people over my professional career and I never would have thought that the US President would become one of the ones getting played by old KGB hands," Hurd said. "To all our allies: there are still many of us in Congress that know Russia is not just an adversary to the United States but to freedom loving people everywhere."

I watched this live. The only thing Trump actually did was to leave the exchange at "I told him about our allegations. He denied them." Only a simpleton would think that Trump should have chosen this issue as a basis to break off relations with Russia, given the ongoing situation in Syria, Iran and North Korea. Instead, Trump let Putin advance his case. Putin also did something interesting. He invited the Mueller investigators/US intelligence officials to come to Russia and do a joint investigation concerning the 12 indictments. He certainly wasn't obliged to offer that. Makes me think he's pretty confident that the US counterintelligence analysis isn't as solid as the media continues to represent (not that Russians didn't do any spying, rather that the evidence of it isn't actually that strong). Interesting ploy.

CNN will do as their masters bid them to do, however short of American indictments, I think the reaction of the average American would be "So what are the cyber countermeasures that can be put in place to better secure election systems?".

He went further then that, he said he trusted the word of Putin over the findings of his intelligence community.
He was given 5 times to state if he believed US intel or Putin and he only ever said he trusted Putin.

I think the reaction of the average American would be "So what are the cyber countermeasures that can be put in place to better secure election systems?".

Trump floated a few interesting ideas of what should be done, such as:

1) A joint American/Russian cybersecurity program

2) Allowing members of the Special Counsel Investigation to go over to Russia to interview the 12 indicted Russian intelligence officers.

3) Allowing Russian officials to come on over to America to interview American spies.

Other than the above, please tell us what the Commander in chief has mandated, during his 18 months in office, that his administration enact to better secure the election system?
