Between a rock and a hard place
It's naturally and understandably easier for people to express compassion for a young teenage girl than an animal. But why nothing for an unwitting poor dumb orangutan? The story wasn't made up. It wasn't an attempt at humor. I did emulate the title of another thread, for dramatic effect.

Ultimately I was appalled at the mob mentality of the village fighting for their right to abuse that animal, let alone expressing any open notion that it was even acceptable. And even more applled at this boards resulting lack of sympathy. This is a side of humanity that is hard to face -- but should not easily turn our heads away.

A shame that we had to shut that discussion down so quickly because of short sightedness and closed minds.

There are plenty of sympathy threads for RayFinkle and his band of idiots. Just look around

The dramatic effect thing didn't work.

With the dramatic effect and the weirdness of the story it seem made up or really bad timing.

I was actually surprised she didn't rip some guy nuts off. It was just too strange. Poor animal.

I read the article, and I was frustrated. How can anyone let that happen? That poor animal. It was just gross. Kudos to the team that took her out of that situation.

I thought the point was right on after I read your link and was appalled that anyone would mock you for helping to bring social awareness to something so cruel !!!!!
