Just saw a news item about the Canadian potato farmer who has spent months in jail in Lebanon because of an arrest warrant issued by the Algerian government over a dispute about a shipment of potatoes. The farmer was on a trade mission to Lebanon and the RCMP didn't bother to warn him of the warrant. Nice going. They should have warned him???? You must be kidding. How were they to know that it was not a valid charge. Lucky they didn't arrest him and extradite him there...if they even knew about the warrant.
