I heard a story about Raquel appearing on the Johnny Carson Show in the late 70s
She brought a pet cat with her on stage and held it in her lap while her and Johnny talked
Johnny asked about the cat and Raquel said "Do you want to pet my pussy ? "
Johnny could not resist and replied with " Move that god damn cat and I will"
True story ? Cant be sure
The other part of story (as told to me) was that Raquel sued Johnny for the remark - Again I can not be 100% sure
I've heard that story for years, but I didn't hear that Johnny actually said 'god damn' but yup, I heard he got sued.
I think when there was mention of RW, he would comically avoid the subject and raise an eyebrow to Ed McMahon.

I never saw this before. Where did you find it? From memory, I saw another one where she was sitting on a chair and she pulled a "Sharon Stone".
Thanks AM for this farewell clip. I don't know if I saw that show, but I DID see Johnny Carson at his show in Burbank when I vacationed in Calfornia years ago. Took a picture of his parking spot too.
He was the greatest and is missed.
p.s. Also saw Bob Hope live at MLG, and Rich Little live (with the gorgeous Linda Carter aka Wonder Woman) at the original MGM Grand Hotel (now Bally's) in Las Vegas.
I saw a documentary about Hollywood in the 40s 50s and 60s. The big shots had what were called 5 O'clock girls. These are the girls that are signed on at the studios and paid a salary to be extras. They had to wait all day at the studio on standby and were paid a very good sum to wait, but by no means star money. These girls were waiting for their big break. The girls that were eager for stardom offered themselves to the big shots at the studios by waiting at the commissary to be asked out for dinner and drinks and the casting couch. Some of these girls would be called for costume screenings at the big shots office as an excuse for some mid day relief.
I wonder if Raquel ever had to do the casting couch?
