One of my favourite jazz musicians has passed at 87. Loved this gentleman's music. I realize many of you may have never heard of him. RIP Ramsey Lewis.

One of the great jazz musicians in the sixties with his Ramsey Lewis Trio. His hits included "Wade in the Water," and "The In Crowd." Rest in peace, man. He crossed over to pop when "The In Crowd" became popular in 1965.

Oh I've heard of him and his music. Many hip hop songs were created using his music as samples. This is probably my favorite - sampled by Gang Starr and Black Sheep. God Bless you Ramsey. RIP.
