So currently I'm paying Rogers a mind-boggling $125 for home internet service.
Thats for 500 megs down, and I'm barely getting 63 mpbs when I run a speedtest.
Unbelievable!!

So I get this flyer in the mail the other day from a company called Rally.
For just $40/month they give you 1,000 mbps and free modem plus router rental for as long as you sign up.
Rogers can go fuck themselves. I'm signing up with Rally tomorrow. Adios amigos!!

Guy on the phone said $40 is guaranteed for 3 years, after that it goes up to $50/month.
We'll see how it goes. If its crap I can always go back to Rogers.

Ha! I just posted this thread on Saturday:

Fucking Rogers made me sign up for a two contract to get a rate that's still a rip off. I have until August 28th to cancel it or else they'll charge me $15.00 a month for two years. What a joke this company is.

Phil let please let me know how this goes and I want to switch. I've had it Rogers.

The only problem is right now Rally is only available in about 90 GTA condos and apt. buildings.
That will change soon however. Their rep told me they will be expanding soon

I've been with teksavvy for 10 years now. tv a year ago. pretty good. I picked mostly sports package. from $75 internet. it's an added $50 so my total was $125. I also got internet phone for $5 via fongo...

not really cheap but right now. teksavvy has better customer service than Rogers. Their products are comparable. BAsically they're just easy to deal with. There is always a new internet provider that is hungry for business. not bad to shop around for half the price than bell rogers and teksavvy.

Well just the fact that Rogers is trying to rope me into a two year contract alone is enough to put me off.

Give teksavvy a call...they have different product structures depending on what you want...I have since gave up on rogers cable/internet/landline...the cable has become obsolete...netflix and streaming channels destroyed network tv...all you really need nowadays is a fast internet service....

Nice! Quick Google of Rally shows some good reviews. Didn't dig too deep but it looks promising. Looking forward to hearing how it goes.

They were cheaper but then got dicked around by the CRTC. I have Tekksavvy also. But they are just another reseller, not like Beanfield.
I just took a look at Rally, it looks like they are not a reseller either so maybe they are good.

They have had contracts to provide internet service for some of Ontario's hospitals for last 10 years. Since being online is crucial for a hospital I'm guessing they're a legit provider
