You're right. Terrifying stuff. Proof positive that, once again, authorities (in this case a Police Chief) are using the public's mindless fear of terrorism to further a political agenda. Quick, make a press release with vague but scary sounding generaliations about "radicalization"! Let's double my SWAT budget. Get some urban tanks, STAT! Hey, there's some guy guilty of driving while young and brown, best pull him over. Just for a little chat and looksee. Can't be too careful. Oh, and let's bust some of those dipshit "occupy movement" skulls, too. Don't need no hippies in Alberta, nosir. Not like anyone will mind, they're radicals after all.

Egregious, fear-mongering, awful, truly and genuinely every-fucking-thing-wrong-with-those-in-charge-today grade awful motherfucking bullshit going on. Thanks for bringing it to our attention.

Feel better? When you take access, money, ideology and a youth(I say youth..not sure where brown came from) that seems to care less and less about human life each year.Do some research on this chief. He's actually a pretty level headed guy who keeps his cool and reaches out to community of every creed and colour. That's why when he says something like that, I tend to listen.

Something like what, this?
"I think every police chief in any major city and I would say even in small communities should have concern about youth radicalization and radicalization in general," said Chief Rod Knecht.
Yeah. Hella significant stuff there. Not at all vague and playing on people's fears that. No way that demonizing "radicalization" as a general concept when everyone is shitting their pants over ISIS doing jedi mind tricks on more westerners is anything but pure, rational, and level headed fearmongering. Gotcha sport. Just to be safe though, let's up those police budgets, arm everyone, arm their pets, and pass some rational, levelheaded laws about who people can associate with and what sort of investigative powers we should give law enforcement so they can stop, errrrr, radicalization.
