Lol.. This is the shit that police put up with. I am impressed that the cops never allowed him to get under their skin.

While on the set of Lawless, LoBeouf played the runt of three brothers, the other two were Tom Hardy and Jason Clarke. To get him into character Hardy and Clarke picked on him mercilessly. Then Shia had to contend with Mia Wasikowska not connecting with him like Jessica Chastain did with Hardy. So Shia lashed out and cold cocked Hardy in the face.

We don't know all the story, its too easy to judge. Some police would love to pick on a famous guy just as some cops love to show off and be dicks because they got "the power" even against real persons.
