Not really ...

There is a story about a warrior in acient China where he was shot in the eye by an enemy archer and he pulled the arrow out with the eye stuck to it and ate his own eyeball. The reason? He said that his mother gave him his body and it would be un-filial if he were to just throw his body part away ... so he swallowed it.

But that was a very very cute bunny (the first pic) ...

Yeah. If you read all the replies to his journal entry, various stories like what you mentioned are discussed.

I had a pet that was very dear to me die recently and way too soon and could not bring myself to do that. I don't know, just seems too out there.
