Jesus... in this day and age you'd think things like this would be so easily treated. Tragic... :(
NASCAR driver Brad Keselowski said he knew Busch wasn't feeling well recently. "Yes, but I won't go into any specifics," Keselowski said. "But then when he ran the Truck race last week, those [thoughts] were honestly kind of erased in my mind."

One of the worst behaviours of us guys is failure to see our doctor when not feeling well. So it was that he failed to get checked when he wasnt feeling well. Until it was way too late.

Fox picked up team audio at Texas or Watkins Glen where he requested the NASCAR doctor see him after the race for a shot of something.
But it's impossible to keep these guys out of a car unless it's a broken bone, or Vertigo in the case of Alex Bowman.

It was Watkins Glen. But one has to wonder about the motives of Nascar and or the doctor for allowing him to continue racing.

My thoughts exactly.

I was reminded of this about a week ago when I read it had been 36 years since Muppet creator Jim Henson died of pretty much the exact same thing.

Jim Henson had a sore throat and he refused to see a doctor about it because he thought he'd just be wasting the doctor's time, even though it was getting worse over a two-week period. Well, it turned out to be a strep infection and bacteria colonies had formed throughout his body, he got pneumonia and he died of that combined with septic shock.

Almost definitely Jim Henson and Kyle Busch would have been saved with a simple antibiotic prescription.

Let it be a lesson for all of us. See a doctor when you are not feeling well.
