Question re: Reviews and Provider Responses

Over the years have had one or two exchanges with providers regarding reviews, generally been able to leave well enough alone.

I got some PMs opening with a suicide "joke" and complaints that the review was targeted at putting them out of business. From my side I think I was as factual and balanced as possible, with some subjective opinions (as all reviews inevitably will have) and I told them as much.

Provider has requested I cease communications with them, not write about them anymore (more than happy to comply here) or face a charge of harassment (this part I'm more concerned about). Practically I don't think anything can really come about this as it's not under the realm of criminal harassment, and a civil suit seems a bit far-fetched, nor would this seem to fall under Human Rights Commission.

From the practical side, easiest course of action is to do nothing. From a review side, is this something that other forum members should be aware of? I think if this provider is identified more problems will pile up on my side, so more interested what others have done in this situation.

Seems more like she should have threated to charge you with libel, not harrasment. In which case you'd have the ultimate defense, which would be the truth about what happened between you. If she has been PM'ing you saying you should kill yourself? Well that seems like harassment to me. If she sent a PM saying your review made her want to suicide, well that seems more like mental issues than criminal.

I agree your best action is to just walk away and say or do nothing else.

So you had a crappy experience, wrote honestly about it and the provider is contacting your privately and threatening you and then telling you not to contact her again????? Fuck that. Sorry - I know it goes against the “sisterhood” code but I’m an industry supporter, not a client or provider supporter.

I would Cease communication but keep a record of everything. You have already written the review so you don’t have to keep reviewing and if anyone does an ISO about her, just contact them privately with a link to your review. If you want to go as far as commenting in any thread about her, you could but the hassle of her may just not be worth it.

Sorry you are dealing with this. It is not right.

At a SP near me
I’ve also had situations where their posse would engage me in private and on the tread challenging my review. Lol

Sounds like she's pissed you left a negative review of her and she's blowing smoke to make herself feel better. I agree with the others who've already posted their opinion, just let it go and forget about her. It's partly because of situations like this that I don't leave reviews. Just not worth the hassle in the end

As the others have said, I’d walk away. Like it or not, some SPs will take review comments personally, especially if critiquing appearance or body. This is natural of course, especially in a group of people who see much of their value (both in self image and monetary) in their appearance.

In general I’ve tried to keep my comments on appearance pretty vague and not personal. I’ll report if images are accurate or not, and if I found them attractive, or very attractive. But I think a detailed deconstruction of a woman’s appearance is often hurtful, no matter what the context. SPs are people too, and you can say if they want to work in the industry, they need a thicker skin, but that gets thinned out despite best efforts.

Would really like to know who she is to keep away tho, unless the review is saying some nasty things no provider should threat a lawsuit...

Honour any requests about stopping communication and / or reviews. Block if you need to, and move on.

Consider screenshoting and communications, especially on 3rd party platforms like TERB. Not because you want to throw them back in her face, but because threads and comments can go poof. In the EXCEEDINGLY UNLIKELY case that something comes of this you may want those.

It's not typically harassment, or libel, that is going to be the problem unless there is a well documented history. Ultimately our reviews are could be seen as an admission of something naughty under C-36. (That's why all of my reviews are complete fantasy and I just like to talk to pretty girls if ever asked. ;) ) Though the likelihood of the provider doing anything is pretty small. Enough of them have had their own negative experiences with LE (and maybe the courts), and MAY have their own 'things' going on, and won't want the hassle / exposure to LE for anything so trivial.

Screenshot if worried, block if you need to, and move on. Also, not a lawyer.

You should write to Justin Trudeau and ask for advice. He's an expert on drama, feminism and other sensitive topics.

Ignore the SP mate and carry on. You spoke the truth, about an experience on a Toronto Escort REVIEW Board.
