Lately I been receiving a number of emails representing the as greeting cards from a partner, a family member etc. In the past when receiving a card the sender was clearly identified.

Does any one know if these are a ligit card or is it some kind of virus or scam?

This is the latest one -- greetingcard.org [aqe@dgn.de]

its a scam. there are a number of spambots that are now sending fake greetingcard messages with the intent of infecting your machine with malware that they [the badguys] can use to control your machine to make MORE SPAM.

I wouldnt recommend opening these emails. just nuke them. [pity we cant nuke the idiots who wrote them in the first place].

good luck
cheers

i am getting them from classmates.com, americangreetings.com, freewebcards.com, 123greetings.com, etc;....

it is a nuisance, as my spam/virus program cannot catch them all. just keep blocking their e-addy as quick as you get them.
