your thoughts wanted please

Is it too much to ask someone new to provide a reference from a provider he has seen?

Would you find such a request unreasonable?

(exp when you are being harassed and hounded buy a mentally unstable person)

It would not be a problem for myself - Unfortunately, however, I can see how many will just move on to an appointment that is "easier" to confirm(without giving much thought to your safety concerns).

References are fairly common in parts of the US. Here in Toronto though I wouldn't see someone who wanted a reference as it's a lot easier for me to see someone else. I wouldn't find the request unreasonable per se, but I would move on to someone else.

I'm sorry you were harassed luv - that couldn't have been much fun.

all the power to them

i just got freaked out on by a terb member because i wouldn just let him come over i had never heard of his handle on terb and all i asked for was one reference

he told me and i quote

"i don't have to put up with this just let me come over for a bj"

he was very rude and upset with me, but i would rather be safe than sorry

if it was a member who has been on terb for a while i would have no problem

Lots of ladies do it. I've always found it a bit of hassle in that it's kind of a strange thing to phone a gal who you saw a year or two ago and ask for a reference.

Ultimately, do whatever you need to do to keep yourself safe Luv.

I would think of it this way if they are going to get rude about it maybe it is best you asked this question and seen the responce as it is probably someone you would not want to meet anyways.

Oh at one point or another everyone gets that pm from The Shake. Just ignore and he will move on. He's testing that numbers theory and he's not discriminating

I have never once been asked for a reference, but maybe because I never set off any warning flags. If you have a bad feeling about a client, I would take a pass. If you get into a hassle just booking, then definitely take a pass.

I always thought leveraging a poster handle, for myself anyway, to be bad form.

I think your instincts, to ask for a reference, were right on the mark luv...always trust your gut instincts.
It is much better to play it safe with people you haven't met or that you've haven't at least built some kind of rapport with on TERB.
As some one has said this hobby attracts some real jerks and some of them are even terbites! Sois sage.
Cheers
