Question for Ottawa hobbyists

While I have visisted a couple of the SPs in Ottawa in the more distant past, being from here, I tend to do most of my hobbying on my travels to other Cdn centres, mainly because I am afraid I might run into one of these SPs when I am out and about with my SO. I guess I just don't want to s**t where I eat, so to speak.

My question is: has this happened to any of the Ottawa hobbyists, or am I just a little too paranoid?

lol.. oh ya. it happens. more than once to me. but it was the same sp. its sorta funny. the first time i saw her she was with her man and the next day she called and gave ME attitude?! like. uh.. then the last time i saw her i was with a girlfriend of mine and when i called her the next morning .. she didn't answer. i called her because she looked so damn good it wasn't funny. and no i wont tell you who it was lol.

ohhhh. yaya. i remember another incident. i saw a sp who was visiting from outta town and a couple days after my appointment i almost walked into her outside a club downtown. i just turned my face leaned against the wall and grinned. as that fine ass walked down the street =)

oh shit. there's one more lol.. I actually got introduced to one paticular sp.. LOL we actually went out together with our respective group of friends clubbing and the like. I never hit it with this one much to my regret as a good friend of mine jumped the gun on me when i mentioned that she was a working girl.. fucker but anyways... lol.

urm also keep in mind the sps i'm talking about are in my age group..

I've run into "gentleman benefactors" in public -- I take my cue from them. Most of them know that my partner knows my circumstances, and so if they're on they're own, they don't usually hesitate to approach me.

But if they're with someone, there's usually a discreet smile and nod, and that's that.

No escort has a reason to compromise a gentleman's privacy.

..c..

mind you whenever i've seen them. they're always dressed well. i'd have to say they look better than when they're working.

OK, and thanks for the honest responses. It seems that my paranoia may be well-founded, even though the clasy SPs of the Ottawa area by and large would NOT compromise themselves or their clients.

Alexa & JoyfulC - unlike most other Sps, you have chosen in present or recent past, to risk putting your own faces on the line. I am curious, beyond the admirable honesty of that fact, why would you risk recognition in such a judgmental and (in your private life, I assume) risky way?

I have seen only a handful of sp's but happened to meet most outside the hotel room:

1. (The worst IMO) An sp who I once saw happened to work as a temporary help (employment agency placement) in my office - under my direct supervision. I think we both recognized each other and were quite nervous/embarrassed?? Anyway, we (at least I) pretended not knowing each other. Anyway, it was a long day but she did a good job in helping me at the office. Lucky that it was a one-day assignment.

2. I went for a time-shared accommodation seminar with my wife and happened that the sales representative was an sp who I saw. We were a kind of giving each other a private nod and she continued with her professional presentation. I didn't buy anything at the end.

3. I have come across many times in the shopping mall one sp who I have been seeing regularly. When she or I have our friends around, we would just give each other a private nod and smile. When we were alone, we would stop and chat a bit like friends (and we are!), a few times even have a coffee together.

This has not been a concern of me as I and the sp's who I see do respect each other's privacy and not to intrude the other's life. Things would be different if we question each other about this and if that's the case, I will certainly not want to see that particular sp (or the sp not wanting to see me)

Wow, Dummy (no offense - LOL)

Your experiences seem to be the very ones I want to ensure I avoid, not because I don't trust the SPs, but as Alexa said, it just takes one bad experience.

Seems you've dodged a bullet a few times.

Too bad in your scenario 1 that you were both so professional....situation could have been ideal for a Secretary-Boss fantasy had you both been willing to mix business with a little pleasure...

There is one other concern for a public encounter that no one has mentioned in this thread.

Women who do the "escorting" type jobs where they're out in public for dinner and drinks before the private activities could be very concerned that their companion may be embarrassed if someone were to recognize the SP as an SP.

Saw an SP once and a few weeks later bumped into her in the hallway of my apartment! Turns out she lived in the same building AND on the same floor!! We acknowledged each other when we were alone, but did not when we were with someone else.

I run into an SP in a shopping mall once. We didn't even nod and smile to each other.

southstreet, well, in general, if you patronize SPs that you don't trust... maybe you shouldn't?

I always assume that anyone I see will recognize me when I'm elected prime minister. Will they save it for their memoirs?

Gee, thanks for the great pearls of wisdom, nerd - my question had to do with geography, not the trustworthiness of the SP. And how do you know whether you can trust an SP is it's your first encounter, anyway? At least if it's not in your own town, the chances of you "running" into her are lessened somewhat...
