Question for Fred

Hi all,

Just thought I'd throw this out there and perhaps if Fred can shed some light on this as well.

OK. I know most likely people will call me paranoid and what not but thats cool. I just want an answer.

Whenever I browse through the many excellent postings to TERB I always get a tad freaked out when I see IP: Logged beside the post.

Now. I understand the reasoning behind having an IP logged. Spammers...hackers...unethical posters...etc etc...This should go on and I don't think that it should stop.

My question IS: How long do you keep these logs and at what point is it necessary to keep logging senior TERB members?

Don't get me wrong, I LOVE TERB. I am just curious. Thats all.

Most websites log the IP although they may not indicate that they do. This is done to make it easier to track hackers and other malicious types. As well, your IP can be retrieved from every email that you send.
