Question About Sound on my PC

I was trying to listen to audio from the internet and I'm unable to. I was wondering if I didn't have a sound card.

When I went to help I realized that I don't have a mixer device. First of all what is that?LOL and secondly I was wondering if anybody has any ideas on how to fix it.

this is a silly question, but do you have speakers?

And if he does,are they turned on?

Well, as well as the above questions, how about:

Were you able to listen to sounds from the net or otherwise before?

In order to tell if you have onboard sound or a sound card, look on the back of your computer and see if you have about 4 or more multi-coloured headphone jack sized recepticles. They should have a little engraved picture of a microphone, and possibly tiny speakers or an L and an R on them.
