Hi all,
Well life has thrown me a curve ball, waiting on confirmation testing but pretty sure I got hsv2 and it’s quite the bummer.

Anyways, I’m expecting a lonely road over this silly little skin rash, and was hoping people could pm me who have navigated the same, how they dealt with it, and what sp’s were cool working with it. Not looking for judgement here, it’s already depressing enough.

Thanks in advance,

Sorry to hear this. But If you do have it & see an SP or any civvie lady I believe you are legally obligated to tell them. Honestly most will say no for obvious reasons. If not and they catch it they can sue you and/or have you charged especially if it's any lady of childbearing years who hasn't started a family yet. Hoping your results come back negative and hope you do report this person to health services if you unfortunately test positive.
Your best bet if positive is talk to your family doctor or health care specialist to discuss all of your options.

I think you are legally obligated to tell us any ladies you have seen that are fine with servicing someone with herpes…

Usher and former Buffalo Bill Eric Moulds were and are being sued over this by women for whom they did not disclose.

I’m not looking for medical advice, just recognizing that I’ll probably be treated as a leper and figuring it’ll be hard to find any intimacy. It’s funny once you realize that it’s just cold sores on your face down there, and is more a nuisance than anything else, But hearing everyone’s reactions here definitely shows how much it’s feared along the same lines of some kinda lethal virus like hiv or something. Kinda crazy to realize once you’re on the other side of the fence, but I digress. I plan on disclosing, not here to hide it. It’s sad the reactions you get. Was just looking for advice since I’m sure many have it, whether they know it or not.

They have specific dating apps designed for people with herpes or certain STI’s and it would be good to look into it to save you the trouble. Please disclose these things with partners or SP’s or else you could be in a ton of trouble.

Some people may treat you that way some may not. A friend of mine caught it from her current boyfriend. He apparently didn't know.... They are still together....

There are dating apps for ppl with herpes... Some with HIV. For now just try to go through the stages.

People fear it for the reasons you have outlined, not that it’s deadly, but there is a big stigma associated with it, and once you have it, you have it for life. But >10% of the population has it, so it is pretty common.

I know you aren’t looking for medical advice, but in case you don’t know, there is medical treatment that is very effective at preventing outbreaks and transmission to others.
