Last year my landlord put in a new central AC and the AC its self is great except in the house there is no cool air comin through the vents. But in the Winter the heat comes through the vents just fine. What could my problem be? I wanted to see if I could fix this myself because my landlord takes a long damn time to fix anything at my place.

thanks

Check the fuse panel to see if the breaker for the A.C. is on .

if it were a fuse panel, there would be no breakers

Most AC units have a means of disconnect within 6ft of the unit. Check and see if it is switched to "off", or if the pullout is missing, or is in the off position. Make sure the thermostat is set to cool. If that fails, call an HVAC technician

Also, is there a switch near your panel or near your dryer? In many older homes, when the panel is too small, a switch can be installed which will only allow operation of either the dryer or the AC unit, but not both at the same time.

Hate to say it but is the thermastat switched to cool? The coolont pressure could be low ( cant fix that yourself) or a contacter in the blower may be corroded.

Is it pluged in?
Is it turned on?
is the unit uncovered?

Hey thats my checklist for going to SP's:rolleyes:
Don't forget to order you summer weight A-ROD lube.
The winter blend is too thin to be used in summer heat.

Thanks for the heads up ( tip) I was having heat dissipation problems and hadn't realized. Should have read the manual.

Should you run into problems you can get the "new" combination A-ROD puller and straightener. This new model answers the problems experienced with the original A-RODs. We do not feel this will be needed but are offering a 70% savings with proof of purchase within the first 120 days of use.

I stand corrected - check your breaker panel .
