Mike Meyers is in it. Didn't recognize him in the trailer though.Keebler Elf said:Notice the shoulder patch? It's the Devil's Brigade!!! (1st Special Service Force)
Maybe some Canadians in this one...
I heard they brought in 4 tanker trailers of fake blood for this movie. Can't be all that bad. Although, I have not thrilled with anything he had done since Kill Bill.Compromised said:No, but there is an option for iPods.
Yup, he did "Death Proof" which was half of the "Grindhouse" double feature along with "Planet Terror" by Robert Rodriguez. Since the public is so dumb, people would actually leave the theatre after the first movie thinking the whole thing was over. I find that pitifully hilarious. Check out the faux 'trailers' that were made exclusively for this. There is one called "Machete" which is a riot. So much so that a film will actually be made from a fake trailer due to so much public interest in it.Keebler Elf said:He's done something since Kill Bill?

Not for Iron Man. It's for "Machete". Check it out. It has me on the floor every time!
Let's not forget, my esteemed colleagues, that this new Tarantino opus is a re-make of 1978's "Inglorious Bastards" which starred Bo Svenson and Fred Williamson. It was shot in Italy in order to minimize production costs and get a more European flavor of authenticity. Let's remember that very many actors would travel to Italy and Spain in this era in order to just work. It's now seen as more of a luxury. The film is about a small brigade of soldiers that goes ABSOLUTELY APESHIT on the Nazis. "Dirtier than the Dirty Dozen" was the tagline. It also had North American distribution under the title "Hell's Heroes". Keep in mind, "A Bridge Too Far" or "Battle of Britain" this ain't. It is more like a war flick made by Roger Corman. Dirty, outrageous and entertaining. It would not escape the Tarantino 'shlock metre'. Hence we have him doing a polished re-make of it. I can only guess that the new spelling of 'basterds' is to distinguish it from the original. You should be able to find it at your local video outlet, mine has it. Or you can look for it under the original italian title: "Quel Maledetto Treno Blindato". And yes, it's mostly in English with some Italian and German thrown in.Hangman said:I wonder why both words in the title are misspelled. Is that creative license somehow?
