The above are some photos of the Highway of Death from the Gulf War and yes it was a war crime.

However, given the situation today ........

Best option is for Kiev to surrender.
That's not going to happen, I'll be very surprised if it they do. The Kievans and the rest of Ukraine have one of two choices: die fighting or die with your back against the wall.

Do some peaceniks think it's still unwise to sink the Admiral Kuznetsov?

Surrender to save some lives and then immediately start a resistance movement where you kill every Russian in site and sabotage any Russian effort for control...you can also take your time and plan a Putin assassination.

Not a chance Ukraine surrenders...

donnie said his convoy was at least 100 miles long on 1/6
Yeah, even though it didn't have any hot tubs and bouncy castles, the blubbering, bearded crybabies on both sides of the border definitely engaged in cross border inbreeding.

"Snake Island to Canadian Bouncy Castle Convoy. Go fuck yourselves!

PeePee is just putting together the package of hot tubs and bouncy castles to send out to Ukraine.
Of course he's sending them to the Russian army there.

I'm still not sure why the convoy hasn't been hit since it seems like such a juicy target.
Maybe the Ukrainians don't have the means, or maybe they think it is bait.

They have to be, unfortunately running low on supplies as well. Hopefully relief gets there so they can ramp up.

Apparently there is still a Russian reserve force of 1/3 on the border.

I think Putin way over estimated both Russian troops willingness to fight, and their abilites on a larger scale. Their logistics are (fortunately) aweful from several sources I've seen.

We'll probably know in a few days, sounds like the Russians have cut most cell access as well as the main tv station.
We're getting less information from the Ukrainian side in general.
That said, the convoy must be getting hit some or it would have been there yesterday.

Ukraine says they've taken out this much from Russia.
Taking out 60 fuel tankers could explain the reports that they are running out of supplies.
But who knows.
Hope they can hold on.

Any chance they can just bomb it from a very high distance? Or would they detect the aircraft by radar and shoot it down with a missile? I guess it's not as easy as it seems.

Ukraine doesn't have the air superiority to do so.

Instead Russia is resorting to trying to shell the cities and destroy them, like they did in Chechnya when they started losing there.
Isn't that mainly what happened in the Russo-Finnish War?...

No surprises there Russia initially targeted Ukrianian airports and fuel depots. Not sure if they also targeted Ukriane's airforce but without runways and a fuel supply they are pretty much grounded. I am surprised though that they haven't targeted it with long range missles or artillery.

Seems like it's only slowed down due to sporadic fighting in front of it and the disabling of some bridges. But doesn't seem like any of the rivers leading to Kyiv are that large, its only a matter of time before they arrive.

They hit Ukraine's radar but then stopped after that. Apparently they haven't sent in the jets really since.

Bridges?
Could be, this one over the Teteriv was taken out by the Ukranians, its not a massive river.
