Good old V.V. has decided to disband the RIA Novosti news agency and replace it with a new state run agency Rossiya Segodnya (Russia Today) (Sound familiar) in a move widely viewed as an attempt to tighten his control over the media.

Here is another scary one. Check on a map to see how close a Chechen army base is to Sochi. A friend of mine was discussing it. Very scary. I would hate to see a few fanatics try something. But there may just be a few crazy enough.
