"As Smith was walking to his car, he noticed a driver parked in a fire route. Smith told the driver to move his car. Then, he got into his own vehicle and headed home."

These days it is best to not say anything in situations like this.

"police said video footage of the incident has revealed the assailant to be a man."

Glad to see the police have this under control.

I agree, out in public, if you see something that does not affect you personally, just walk on by, that's what I do.
I'm going to qualify that by saying that if someone's life is at risk it's a different story, but over a parking infraction?that's just plane stupid

Smith should have minded his own business. He not a cop.
Ya blocking a fire route lol? This guy was being a male Karen. If it’s a fire route and the person is in the car they can simply move the car in an emergency. That is why usually it says no parking and not no standing. No need to say anything in this situation.

Nope. Right to free speech.

Not liking what somebody else says does not give you the right to run them down.

This board amazes me… given the choice of criticizing someone for saying something you may not agree with, or a guy that ran someone down in a psychotic hit and run….

Do we really know what the exchanges of words between these two individuals?
I'm sure the exchanges were quite overheated and could have been avoided by just minding his own business.

I saw this story as well. Better not to be a hero and not say anything. Both are probably douches.

Its a $200 ticket if you park in a fire lane

TERB is known to victim blame for everything. This does not surprise. Women are at fault for their own sexual assault, this man is at fault for his own assault with a car, every politician is at fault for everything. Righties say lefties, lefties say righties. TERB members love to throw blame and usually the wrong way.

Nothing will change here in that regard. Just look at who laughs at what to see the worst of them.
