No doubt science and the medical experts are seeing the affects and health benefits of psychedelics, especially treating serious mental issues such as depression, PTSD and other mental disorders. It’s good to see that they are getting such recognition and hopefully getting closer that one day they will legalize at least psilocybin, ayuhausca, and similar plant based psychedelics, if not for recreational use then for medical use.

I tried the mushrooms in the 90s and I agree they had a life long positive effect and I could always find a way to deal with really sad depressive life events or feeling any signs of depression. I don’t know how connected this is but it seams that they have permanently opened or jail broken my mind.

Question I have is if there are people who have serious chronic depression like many posts we see on here why aren’t these people willing to give this method a try. It’s better then considering suicide, no? Although I would never recommend an individual with depression to do this as self medication, a lot of medical experts are offering this treatment as a option.

Has anyone tried this method to treat any mental disorders and what are your thoughts. I always remain fascinated with this application of psychedelics to treat mental disorders.
