Anyone have any links?

All the time. They usually target smaller towns from what I've seen.

Most of the paid sex acts are occurring in the major centres obviously and in Toronto and parts of York and Peel region, hundreds of
fs brothels are openly operating with LE watching and doing nothing just as long as underaged, controlled substance or human trafficking is not involved. If a new PM is elected, likely Conservative Poilievre who voted in the bill under Harper then the Supreme Court of Canada challenges will strike C36 down , forcing a new bill to written, which no PM wants to do.

No Toronto stings involving consenting adults fee for service are on the horizon due to the current climate.

So are the MPs safe for now. One in Cambridge got busted a few month ago and is shut down for good.

Municipal governments can revoke their business licenses or get LE to intimidate or harass customers.
In a small town, spas stick out like a sore thumb.

Two guys in my 'building', (two houses with a common wall and backyard), are small scale dealers of substances which I don't personally consume. The porch person who lives next to them has 'dropped a dime' several times, and the police reaction is that 'they're not interested in investigating petty crimes that don't involve violence'.

Street people openly smoke crack around the Dundas St East/ Sherbourne corner, and cops don't even stop them, if they're behaving themselves. The cops don't have much leverage with people who would be more than happy to go back to jail for a while. At least they'd get to sleep with a roof over their heads.

Note that these examples involve guys seeking underage girls.

Although this does involve prostitution this is about trafficking. There are very few actual busts for sexual services as it is legal in Canada. How ever you can be busted as a client for paying or soliciting sex but it ridiculously rear

Most likely to occur if there is street action in a residential area where certain people complain all the time, and a guy in a car propositions an undercover cop.

So is that a good or bad thing. Most are in industrial areas.

Someday I want some to explain this all to me.

It is either complete stupidity, or risk taking, of some of each?

There are a lot more stings in the U.S. than Canada, certainly. But if you analyze them, they all fall into predictable categories.

A rational person avoids them. I am reminded of the Richard Pryor skit where he asks why White people stay in haunted houses like the one in Amityville Horror. He plays the Black family man who has saved up to buy a home and when he and his family enter the home and hear the demon say “Get Out”, he says too bad this didn’t work out for us and they leave.

Even in Canada, the agencies and independents avoid explicit messaging for brand new customers. But in stings, there is always blatant, explicit discussions of sex acts for money when it is the police on the other end. If it is a new ad in a wealthy suburb in Canada and the texts immediately get explicit in terms of sex for a minor amount of money, that might be the cops. Take Richard Pryor’s advice and leave.

If the U.S. law enforcement agencies do stings on Backpage and SkipTheGames, I don’t use them. If the Phoenix and Orlando police are the Gestapo when it comes to commercial sex, I don’t partake there unless I know the lady from someplace else. If the incall is next to the HolyRoller First Church of God Almighty, I think I will forfeit any deposit and run, since the church members have probably noticed the foot traffic.

In Canada, some of the small suburbs of Toronto don’t want this activity. So go to Toronto metro. Same with the street scene. Avoid it anywhere. The cops attack it.

I know some guys can’t control themselves when it comes to underaged women. But even then, the 16 year old knows that 99.9 percent of her potential customers are going to block her number permanently if she says pssst, I am 16 but used my 20 year old sister’s ID to take out the ad, so she would never say that. If a lady does say that, you are talking to a cop. It is like Adam Corolla says when he is watching To Catch a Predator. Why don’t these guys just get a pizza delivery uniform? If the teen answers, he gets pizza and teen poon. If it it a guy with a boom microphone, he says is this 213 Maple Street? It isn’t? Sorry wrong house.

But whenever a prostitution sting is done, the police get like 50 responses that lead to an arrest, even though every guy on boards like this can tell it was a fake ad. But the guys who get arrested seem completely dumbfounded of what they walked into.

This.

LE are looking out for victims of trafficking and underage girls. They are out to bust the pimps, and the garbage that go after sex with these girls. More power to the cops, and may these assholes rot in jail.

Legitimate MP’s, SP’s and agencies are mostly ignored as long as they don’t get in trouble with a municipality or town, and then it’s usually a bylaw and licencing bust that happens, not the kind of thing most of us have to worry about.

I heavily disagree that men on this board are more adept at avoiding stings. In fact, some of the common practices encouraged here, like asking for a "menu" and not paying deposits, makes it much more likely that men on here would fall victim to police stings. Police don't ask for deposits, and discussing services is irrefutable evidence that you knew what was up.
