I recommend getting a facial to get rid of the black heads.
(a facial will open your pores and the attendant will squeeze out he black heads)
If you have over oily skin then a clay mask once a week will help control the break outs and plain old spectra gel in the morning and evening will clear up the rest.
I have had good results for men with plain old dove soap!
I don't recommend a mail order product as you will spend time waiting for product to arrive.
A good skin consult with a regular spa will tell you the type of skin you have then any products you need can be found in the drug store. Save your money, the fancy products on the market contain the same ingredients that the regular store products have as well!

I use Kiehl's and Clarins products. Wash face twice/day with Clarins face wash, use non-alcoholic toner from Kiehl's right after and follow with moisturizer. Use the clay mask from Kiehl's twice/week to suck up the oils that cause blackheads. Exfoliate every few days with Clarins exfoliant. I have the skin of a 20 year old (I'm almost 40). Don't use those nose strips, although they rip out blackheads, they keep the pores large so they come back, use the mask to shrink the pores over time. I'm Asian so I have large pores especially on my nose, following this regimen they've disappeared.
