I love how Rama brings back these classic bands - made another trip last weekend and another great show - 3 great Canadian Bands and I forgot how good Saga really are. These guys are still out there producing new music.
Prism - Al Harlow - lead singer/guitarist still had the chops and man I didn't know he can still play - he was great - the band was tight and they went through their classics. I wish though they had played Virginia - I use to love that song - still do and still belt it out in the shower now and then .
Next up was SAGA, now this band I have never seen and was actually there to see them as Michael Sadler is a great front man - he is so passionate and visual when he sings - and Ian Chichton is an amazing progressive guitarist - shit I want to see them again - only them though - was disappointed though cause I couldn't buy their concert tee as they didn't have them - I know first world problems and I recognize that - great show - they didn't play The Flyer and What Do I Know, also was hoping to see A Briefcase to be played - but oh well.
Then it was time for Trooper, never seen them ever and did get a concert tee and they put on a show - great show unfortunate the founding members retired but David Steele sounded great never-the-less, also played a killer version Helter Skelter - all the classics were played and onetwice. All in all - great evening out - need to find a great SP up there so next time I will just stay the night as oppose to driving back .
