The quality of P/V DVD's from Rogers is horrible. They have been trashed and Rogers expects you to pay only $5 less than a new one. I really can't understand why people treat them this way...any I have are just as new as the day I bought them.

At least at Blockbusters they're better condition and cheaper...

Why would you buy your used DVD's at Rogers?
When you know they have been viewed over a million times...
Why not go to a Used DVD selling Store (there are Plenty in Downtown TO) and buy there? where DVD's have been viewed a few times only? + you can check the DVD Before you buy....

Stores :
- One just north of Dundonald on Yonge, just before the Coffee Time.
- One in the Little So called Mall across from the Spring Rolls on Yonge (they also sell and rent games)
- and quite a few in The ANNEX area...

Not that I am suggesting you do this but go and get your self a DVD burner, rent the dvds and make your own copies.

It is cheaper in the long run and besides movie companies have already made millions before the thing has been released on DVD - from theaters release, satellite, rentals and then tv. Wow 5 streams of revenue.

There are lots of ways to copy DVDs. Just do a google for "DVD Rip" and you'll find what you need. I use a combo of freeware & shareware to do my ripping. (Ripping is compute intensive and takes a lot of time though.)

Keep in mind though that most DVDs out there use the DVD9 format (9.4GB) whereas current computer DVDs are DVD5 (4.3GB). Obviously the only way to get 9GB of data onto a 4GB disc is compress it. Sometimes this works really well. Other times the image quality suffers noticably. YMMV.
