new computer day. YAY!! my keys are starting to fall off, i just lost my o. some are not working without smashing on them. the ink has worn off most of the other keys. the old girl has done me well and i will be sad to drop her down to a back up but i think the time has come.

i am looking at toshiba, lenova, samsung and asus. leaning more to asus and toshiba as this is a samsung and i am not to big of a fan. i mean it has worked well but there are things i just don't like about it.

not looking forward to getting stuck with windows 8 either.

My old netbook just crashed. Took it too my geek buddy. He had it for 24 hours. Wiped the harddrive. Removed all windows. Added linex. I only use it for web surfing and movie watching on the flatscreen. Working like a dream. Unless you are actually doing a lot of work on it business wise I can highly recommend doing this. The system is similar to windows. No need for security. Very simple to use.

the keyboard is stating to fall apart. lost the o key like 30 mins ago and now i am just hitting on a stump. other keys have lost colour and identification. not lagging at all i just formatted it and it is faster than it ever has been but if the keyboard is messed and so is the touch pad it is time to switch up. happens every 2 years or so and this one will be 3 years old in october.

I've had a Lenovo Thinkpad for the past year. Solid machine so far, very happy with it.

As for desktops, I build my own so I can get exactly the parts I want.
