Porn star Vienna Rose is leaving the world of sex-rated cinema to join the U.S. Marines.
She told the Daily Beast she was constantly depressed, broke and felt abused.
And now she’s lashing out at porn industry.
“I’d been wanting to say my piece for a while and didn’t know how to go about it,” she told the Daily Beast.
“I think it’s very dangerous to put this narrative out there to women, young women especially, that sex work is this huge money-making thing. I feel like we feed that to women, that you’ll come in here and start making lots of money, but because porn is so oversaturated that is genuinely not the case anymore.”
The star of After School Orgy 2, Lesbian Crime Stories 4 and Vienna’s Sausage Party left her small town in Oklahoma when she was just 18 with dreams of a career in porn.
She had never even been on a plane.
While the money was great at first (about $130,000 per year,) the industry wasn’t the glamorous affair she hoped it would be.
And desperate times have now created an over-saturation of women looking to make money in porn, leaving them the prey of exploitive agents.
Now 20-years-old, Vienna was ordered to perform sex acts she didn’t want to and constantly berated because of her appearance.
Soon, she began “feeling depressed all the time” and was fighting a serious eating disorder and body dysmorphia.
Her plan now is to follow her brother into the U.S. Marines and has been working hard to get into tip-top shape.
She wrote on Twitter: “It’s time for Vienna Rose to die. I’m done with porn.”
