Ah an admission from an avid iSheep that Apple's iPhone is but a series of 5 generations boring and substantially similar products !

I agree that anyone whose only purpose in upgrading a phone is so that their friends must notice they spent money should just as well stay with iPhone - it's less complicated and no worries about any new changes because ... there aren't any !!!!

I believe if there is any map that can layout the logic behind the thinking that Apple is the innovative motivator of the smartphone market - it can be provided by iPhone engineers below:

Yawn... Once again OTB you FAIL cause this thread topic only mirrors the same thing that happend when the iPhone 5 came out an was not much of an upgrade from the iPhone 4S.

But of course you've forgotten that by now right? I thought so hypocrite.

True Android? It's running JB 4.2.2, how is it not true Android?
Technically yes, but i'm talking about the spirit of android which is to be different from ios. I have both samsung and htc, so I know. I cringe every time the iPhone keyboard pops up on my Samsung tab2, and even the charger connector looks same as iPod.

So you're the arbiter on all things Android?

Speaking of what is Android and what isn't. Are you sure HTC is true Android? Doesn't the HTC One have no SD card slot or removable battery? Hmmm.

They are called options and Android users have this flexibility because unlike Apple users who can't be trusted with choices - we select the features, the price and the software sources that fit our requirements.

I realize as a former iPhone user - the concept of freedom of choice can be a terrifying when looking out from the safe warm protected Apple bosom. It's a frightening world and it is much easier to attack what we fear most. If you brought a cave man into the future and he looked out from the safety of his cave - he would see people driving, flying, signs flashing ... this technology would be frightening to him. He would probably run deeper into his cave fearful of technology.

So Android users - please think of the quivering caveman in the dark recesses of his cave, flailing wildly at the frightening light of new technology and have some compassion for these two terrified Apple shills, posting new threads of any negative or biased comments they can find against Android.

If we look at the opening post - it compares two superior products against each other but let's just look at it from the world he lives in:

Row upon row of app buttons of the iPhone against user designed Android pages of differing size widgets and apps tuned to the Android user's preference. I pulled my iPhone from the car where it serves as my tune player recently and I was shocked just how bad the iPhone UI is. My God Android users - have pity on these shills. Their task is hard - the Apple world they know and protect is crumbling around them.

I'm an android developer, not arbiter.

HTC has its own problems, that's why they are not selling as good as Samsung. It's just the general feeling I get when using Samsung, it feels so much more like an i-device than any other android phones. Actually, the major sticking point for me is that they are trying create their own ecosystem, just like Apple appstore. and trying to move away from general Android community, and become a monopoly of their own. It's like they are trying so hard to copy Apple that they are trying to make everything almost exactly the same, only different enough to avoid law suit. Everything from the on-screen keyboard to app store.

The main thing I prefer google play over apple app store is their openness and quick approval rate. When you submit an app, Samsung appstore takes 2 weeks to approve, even worse than apple store - 1 week. Google play - couple of hours.

It's like when you have an HTC or other brand android phone, people ask you what phone you use, you say Android. But if you have a Samsung, you are more likely to say Samsung, as if Samsung is some kind of special android.
