Ok.. I had originally posed this as a question to subdave.. and he avoided a direct answer

what is your take on the fact that 95% of all white-asian couples you see are dorky white guy with ok to hot looking asian gal.. I have never seen the reverse.. at least in public.. it is usually good looking asian guy- dumpy white gal

I have had roomates and guy friends both asian and white.. and that was a running joke among us..

This stat also holds [maybe not as extremely] for white-eastindian, and white-latino.. any theories..

I have a few theories.. but they are politically incorrect..

On another note have you noticed that most [not all] white gals who go out with black guys fall into neatly identifiable categories [fat, older, certain life goals, attitudes, patterns of cosmetic use..well.. I can get more PIC if you want]. and just do some people watching... if you don't believe me.

There will be those of you who will say that I have tendency to post such 'inflamatory' threads.. but you have to realise that my inability to easily get decent looking gals has a LOT to do with why I am in this hobby [since about 5 yrs ago]. I have seen many other guys in my position settle for ugly looking/ dominiering gals... or keep hoping they will get the 'one' [rolls eyes..].

If you wish to close your 'eyes' and hope that this concept will go away.... it might.. from this board.. but reality does not care about what you think or believe.. you cannot fool reality... sadly *S* and there is a reason this post has that icon.. I do not wish to offend you... but rather stimulate a reasonable discussion... at least you will think more than you have to for most current threads.

So that's my problem.... I'm not dorky looking enough. (I'm not dorky looking at all) I am a big Asian fan... and have been wondering what have I been doing wrong. Now I know. I am going to make myself dorky looking and head for Chinatown tonight. Right on!

I think looking dorky is not the answer, it's the fact that you don't speak their language or their culture. I'm a Canadian-born Chinese yet I have never dated nor have I had sex with any Chinese girls. The opportunites have been there but we just don't click. Probably because I don't speak chinese very well, don't like karaoke, don't like bubble tea, don't like CantonPop, my hair is not dyed, can only eat chinese food once or twice a week not everyday.
Besides, my friends call me a Banana. Yellow on the outside, white on the inside. Although I disagree here. I'm proud of my Chinese heritage. Just never met the right chinese girl.
I've dated primarily Caucasian girls. I live in Japan right now and my current girlfriend is from England, and no she's not dumpy. She looks a lot like Elizabeth Hurly, but loves bjs!!

Do you actually count the number of WM/AF couples? How do you know whether they are married, boyfriend/girlfriend, or just friends hanging out? Do you ask them this question directly?

I hang out with my Filipino friend's cousin who is quite attractive, but there is no romantic relationship. We hang out because we share the same taste in music. We may look like boyfriend/girlfriend in public, but that is far from the truth.

I hope you realize that Latinos are an ethnic group, not a race. They can look like Sammy Sosa, Daisy Fuentes, Cheech Marin, or Penelope Cruz. I know a Venezuelan/Argentinian couple living in my area. He is quite dark, and she has blonde hair and blue eyes. They look like an interacial couple, but they share the same ethnicity.

So by the context of your post, you equate attractiveness with being Caucasian? I think that you should get out more and date women of different ethnicities instead of focusing in on "White people" and their dating habits.

hmm, you must live in a very small town- or perhaps you lead a delusional existance???
While many of my Asian friends, (male) are attracted to non asian ladies it is simply more of what they have a tendency to relate to. Majority of their life experience and social interactions places them in the company of non asians.
I can give you two real life examples:
a) a HOT or rather athletic, tall and what society would deem an asthetically attractive asian male with an ave looking girl and
b) a buff (meaning very fit and muscular) asian male dating a model looking girl.
In other words a reverse of your theory and a great looking couple! I don't mean to be rude but do you get out much?

Okay. I really don't think you can judge why a person likes another based on looks alone. It could be that they have a good job, nice personality, nice car, ton of cash, big cock, who knows!

A lot of the Chinese girls I meet are really impressed by a good job. When I say "accountant" to Chinese chicks they're impressed, white girls yawn. Hence, I try not to mention it to the white girls.
