Seriously??!! These weather guys just love coming up with new things to sensationalize the weather!
This not a new term, just a rare occurrence. This could easily be called a polar cyclone.Seriously??!! These weather guys just love coming up with new things to sensationalize the weather!![]()
That's cold for skiing you must be a real hard case skier.I think when I was a wee Fecker, it was called "cold"... That was before people were so delicate. I just got back from a backwoods skiing/camping thing in Vermont... Temps were down to about -30C at night, highs of -22C during the day. You had to be careful not to leave your dick out too long while peeing, but it was quite comfy with the right gear!
Because that's what it's called and has been for a while. I probably ran into the term about 15 years ago.Meh...
And that's my point, why give it a special name to make it sound all sinister and such...
Just call it what it is!

Of course you know different duffus. You are so full of yourself, I'm surprised you don't bust a seam from the pressure it causes.Of course you did...![]()
We were ski touring, so it seems like it's 90% uphill and 10% downhill. For about 3 decades, I've been meeting an old school buddy who lives in the Eastern Townships for a few days of playing mountain man. He does a lot of it and has all the right gear. The biggest hardship is drinking rye, not wine, my usual preference. One must make allowances for weight...That's cold for skiing you must be a real hard case skier.

Awkward, you give yourself too much credit. you weak n=kneed put down was bush league at best based on little more than your over inflated opinion of your own worth

Live just across the river, it's -14F right now, God knows what's the windchill factor! Our weather in Windsor has been really weird. On Saturday it was 2C with sunny skies. Yesterday, it was still 2C but with 20 cm (8 inches) of snow. This morning the temperature started at 10C this morning and right now at 5:30 PM, the temperature stands at -18C and the thermometer is sinking like a stone. Tomorrow morning looks to be -23C. I will have to keep my testicles warm tomorrow.
