The summer-time version of the Polar Vortex is about to arrive next week, bringing unusually cold air to the Great Lakes and much of central North America

Instead of warm summer-like conditions it will feel more like fall. Temperatures are likely to be 5-10°C below normal. This will keep daytime highs buried in the teens with overnight lows in the single digits.

Damn this global warming

Better in the summer than in the winter.
Not if you have a pool, and spend most of FEB. near the equator.

I hope it doesn't last all summer long, much like the after effects of the eruption of Mt. Penatubo in '91 if I recall, the summer of '92 was a cold one, dont, think the temperature ever rose above 25 degrees celsius if my memory serves me well.

Yeah, I tired of hearing the weather girls on TV complain that the humidex isn't 40.
I swear they must be cold blooded like a breed of lizard people.
Exactly. Hot and humid is okay if you're just relaxing at the beach or in the pool. But it sucks when you have to work in it.

Sometimes the Polar Vortex makes me happy. Other times the Polar Vortex makes me sad. I guess I have the bi-polar Vortex.
