I was out most of yesterday and didn't get to see many of the posts in the thread about the Pleasures Party until this morning, by which time the thread ahd already been closed.

It's not my intent to re-open the debate in a new thread just to say what has already been said, but I think there were some aspects of the situation that were not mentioned. Apologies to Goober about this, but I think the thread might have been closed too quickly for some to comment.

I use RM services occasionally. One of the reasons I feel relatively comfortable there is their approach to the business and their marketing. It is VERY low key. They have no web site, they do little advertising, they do not remain open extended or late hours which would be likely to cause complaints from neighbours and they just generally go out of their way to keep their operation quiet and inoffensive. That is not only in their interests, but it is in MY interests as a client, since I take risks by being there, and I want to use a place that will protect my ass as well as their own by doing everything they can to stay below the radar.

And then along comes Miranda, announciing her new incall with horns blazing and lights flashing, and moves (apparently temporarily) into the same building. Lots of flash and pizzazz, a big party (since moved to another location, thankfully) and as much fanfare as can be managed. I don't intend this as an attack on her, for I have no reason to do so. I understand why the new kid on the block wants to market and let everyone know they're around. It's the same as any business, right? Well, not exactly.

An incall agency, in order to stay in business in a residential neighbourhood, must have the sensitivity and finesse to co-exist with their neighbours and the management in such a way as to eliminate complaints. Noise, late hours, high traffic volume and similar problems lead to complaints to management. Complaints to managmeent lead to complaints to LE. Complaints to LE lead to raids. Raids lead to arrests, and it is not only the SP's and the operators who are subject to arrest. So damn right I have an interest in these things.

Now I have heard, despite what is stated on the web site, that Miranda''s place might be stretching their hours to later than the advertised 11:00 p.m. Furthermore, she is not keeping a low profile, but is taking steps to draw attention to the new operation, and that may well lead to many of the situations that put her, her associates, RM and ME at risk, and that does not strike me as a good thing for anybody.

The operation of 2 incall establishements in the same building is a big msitake. An even bigger mistake is the way in which the new place is being marketed. I'm sure it is not intentional, since it's not in Miranda's interests any more than anyone else's, so I'll just put it down to being over-eager and inexperienced in the subtleties of this kind of operation. I think it is important that those of us who might think of using this service keep in mind that it is YOUR asses on the line too.

If you MUST open in the same building temporarily Miranda (and I would hope you wouldn't), then at least keep quiet and don't screw it up for all of us.

Yes, well said.

The thread was not closed because of the subject matter, the thread was closed because some people wouldn't stop flaming.

I am all for discussion in a reasonable manner, unfortunately that is a rarity around here.

There's a huge difference between "controlled by" and "involvement in"

Ok...so we've established Miranda is opening a new incall. We've also established that it's in the same building as RM's. Now, we've beat it to death and gone on and on about this whole issue - which I understand is an important issue. However, as everyone's been bitching about it since yesterday, and repeating the details over and over, all LE needs to do now, after reading this stuff, is book with someone from Miranda's incall. Once they know which building Miranda's incall is, it won't take them long to determine where RM's is. Then they both get busted. Sometimes I think you guys forget what we're talking about here. I may be 3000 miles away from Toronto, but sometimes you guys talk in way too much detail about things in your town that shouldn't be openly discussed.

Silly me...you're right pro1. Every incall location in the city is controlled by the mob. Thanks for that tidbit of "important" information.

DenWa is right....this thread has run its coarse and the dead horse is being beaten yet again.

I've always found it beneficial to question any argument that is supported by the statement "everyone knows."
