The problem is you can't let the players run the team either. Coaches aren't friends. Guaudreux said it wasn't that big of a deal, more like Babcock wanting to meet their families type thing. Scotty bowman was hated by his players.
Maybe this comment contradicts my title, he is a scumbag though. A 30 year old family man might see this differently than a 20 year old rookie.
