People who drop pamphlets and business cards in parking lots at malls

Is this legal?

I mean, we're at a big box eletronics store and a small Mom & Pop eletronic store decides to come around where our car is and drop a flyer off with discounts etc.

I certainly don't mind bought I got to thinking, is this legal or illegal? Considering you're on the lot of a big box store?
I would assume it's illegal but I could be wrong, since they (big store) don't own the parking lot now do they?

The big box probably leases the store space. They don't own the store or the lot.

I suppose the big store, directly or through the property manager, can deem the small guys (or their agents) to be persona non grata and ask them to leave and not come back.

I can respect the chutzpah of the little guy to market directly on the big guy's turf....but it's tres tacky.....
