PC help needed!

Hey guys,

I got this problem with my PC and I have no idea whats wrong wit it so I figured I asked fellow terbites to see if any of you guys know what the prob is...

Whenever I right click on a file on my PC the desktop resets..the PC doesnt boot up just the desktop goes blank for a sec and then reloads all my icons on my windows desktop...even if I want to delete a file and press delete on the keyboard it does the same thing..what could be wrong?...I ran a virus scan..no probs there..so help!...pleeeease.

Just checked the mouse properties, and it is set on context menu/alternative select, thanks tho but the problem still persists.

windows 2000..and I just discovered the problem today

1. Reboot
2. Download and run Ad-Aware and Spybot Search & Destroy
3. Download all Windows updates
4. Bang head on desk until you pass out
5. Upon regaining consciousness, turn off computer, go to bank machine, withdraw some money and go to your local SC for a beer/lap dances
6. Visit a MP
7. Visit a SP
8. Forget about your farking computer problems.
9. Sleep like a baby
10. Tomorrow, go to 1.

there should be a restore function found in your system tools menu


restore the PC to say 3 days ago, should make the problem go bye-bye

OK I tried the restore (didnt work)..was contemplating step 5 but just stopped short of CB's...but instead I settled for installing Win XP..so far everything seems normal but like I just said - so far...when it rains it pours..thanks for the tips guys.
