PBS program

There was a program aired on PBS tonight called Stranded Yanks. It detailed the incredible compassion people in the Canadian Maritimes and west showed for Americans diverted to Canada on flights that were in the air on 9/11/01.

It was extremely moving and I highly recommend it.

God bless all of you, our friends and neighbors, the people of Canada.

out of appreciation...

During the time f 9/11 when a lot of flight's were being diverted to NFLD, the people there welcomed them with open arms. Many businesses and people volunteered their time, space, and service to help out in any way possible. The airline compnay Lufthuansa (sp?) was so touched and appreciative of the people of Gander, that they are naming one of their new aircraft "The Gander"
