Police are not friendly to anyone, if you get caught in a comprisming position, expect to pay until you bleed.
Pick pockets and knock out artists abound.
Do your research first, Panama is a drug infested country. Last time I was there it was so bad Canada had travel advisories against it.
Do not go out alone, do not pick up a local street hooker, STD are rampant, if you are looking for companionship, check with your hotel or a taxi driver, and expect to pay.
