"hatred against the beauty of women.. That’s what feminism is”

- Sara Fernanda Giromin former member of FEMEN

"Feminism exists as a defender of the selfish sexual and reproductive interests of aging and/or unattractive women".

"The history of feminism is the history of a female sexual trade union, growing in political power in exact correspondence with the steady loss of female sexual power caused by the continual widening of the sexual market".

-A history of Feminism

This morning when i was out on and about I saw the cover of the 24hours news paper about Pamela's new ad labeled as "misogyny and anti-women. so diceded to do a google search to see what is the latest feminist outrage about. i didn't take a copy of the 24 hours because i was struggling to stay awake.

The MTA got a dressing-down about a racy ad campaign for a clothing company that features former “Baywatch” star Pamela Anderson.

Assemblyman Jim Brennan, a Brooklyn Democrat whose committee oversees the agency, scolded the Metropolitan Transportation Authority for the ads in a letter written on behalf of a constituent who complained about “misogynistic imagery and text.”

One of the ads, from British-based retailer Missguided, features the tag line “Pamela’s got something to get off her chest.”

On its website, the buxom former “Baywatch” star is described as “the “new mega babe of Missguided” who is the “ultimate girl power hero.”

Another Missguided ad shows a model wearing a blue business suit with nothing under the blazer.

“The struggle doesn’t have to be real,” says the tagline.

“I urge the MTA to consider the message this sends to its customers, of all sexual identities,” Brennan wrote in the letter sent April 14. “This highly offensive and suggestive advertising is (almost comically) near public service ads urging people to report incidents of sexual harassment on the trains and to not tolerate the behavior.”

Brennan wrote on behalf of constituent Helen Dames, a 53-year-old attorney in Windsor Terrace, Brooklyn.
