Papa is refering to our friend wishing to become a teacher. As such, I understand that he is suggesting that if you want to become a teacher, you follow the letter of the law when it comes to sex with or between minors.

Personally, I think that charging a 17 year old for getting a BJ from a 15 year old is silly and a waste of taxpayer's money. The law needs to be changed. Like many laws in the US.

However, I do not think that stinkynuts was suggesting that an adult, or an adult in a position of authority should have sex with a minor.

Recently the law in that state was changed because of this incident.

As to papasmerf's comment, I can understand where he is coming from. I would not make my views public because it would be so easy to lose my job. But on an escort review board, I should be free to.

The worst part about this is that when the guy gets out in 8 years his life will be ruined. A sure way to send somebody on the path of crime and this time real crime, theft, drugs, gangs....
Because he will have no chance of a normal career.
Stupid American fake morality. They allow a booming porn industry, Nevada, Escort services, slutty MTV videos, but teenage sex is a problem? Then they need to throw half the teenagers into jail.

Why did the 15 year old get away unscathed? After all she had sex with a minor?

When I was 17 I realized the statutory rape laws were ever present and followed them. Back then it was 20 years under the jail.

This is just another example of the injustice in many US laws that vary widely from state to state. What will get you a life sentence in Texas is a misdomeanor in California. Plus, if this kid was white he likely never would have seen the inside of a jail.
