Oshawa Gets "Adults Only" Hairstylists

I had heard a few rumours that their was an Adults Only hair salon somewhere in the area. A number of guys in my neighbourhood mentioned that they had heard about this place but no one seemed to know where it was or what the deal was.

The Toronto Sun had a column on the place this morning:

For those of you wondering where this is located, it is in the Mr. Sub Plaza next to Burger King on Simcoe just before Taunton Road in North Oshawa.

I just bought a buddy of mine a gift certificate for his birthday. I walked in and the lady just took my arm and lead me to the chair. LOL, Ihad to stop her and let her know why i was there. Place looks nice. Busty blonde showed me around a bit. Shes pretty but not outstanding. I agree its a big gimmick and ill give it til Xmas tops. Ill let you know what my buddy thought when he goes.

I read about it in the Oshawa This Week. As others said, it's a gimmick. But it is a smart idea, if it works. Frankly, I think they could charge more and attract more clientele if they were topless.

It was called "Sexy Cuts" and was upstairs, across the hall and down from the (avoid at all costs) AAA spa on Montreal Road in Ottawa. I loved going there - when I had hair, lol.

Is that the place that was above The Mate? I heard business was pretty slow there. Of course they never got no mainstream media free promotion like this place is. I don't give this place very long. Like someone already said... Xmas time at the most.

In the words of the ING banking slogan, "Save your Money". I tried this place out. I don't understand why they call it "adults only" The girl who usually cuts my hair dresses much hotter than these girls.

Game, you and I both know that, but there are tons of guys who are getting crap haircuts from bitchy women wearing ugly sweaters too....

Personally, I think they have a good idea that works, but you go to any upscale salon downtown Toronto, they all look like these girls and charge more...

A few year ago when Oshawa passed the topless bylaw, someone should should have jumped on the bandwagon. He would be a rich man today. I saw a topless hair salon in Vegas. The guys were lined up out the door.

I havent given this place a second thought since my buddy got his cut there. He said it was alright but would not recommend for any kind of arousing experience by anymeans. As said before, there are plenty of hot "regular" ladies in regular places that are just as hot or hotter. Its no biggie. Not sure if it is still around or not. its tucked back behind the Mr Sub. Double Double Pizza plaza on the east side of simcoe just south of taunton
