Clockwise the entire time. I looked away and closed my eyes at different times and made no difference, she was still turning clockwise.

An option removed from MSPaint after Windows XP is 'Invert Colors'. I can do that on one of my XP computers, but not today. White and gold are the inverted colours of this light blue and brown dress.

A similar illusion is if you stare at an image which has only a couple of colours, and then you look away. For a few seconds, you will see the inverted colours of what you had been looking at.
