Talk about a difference in customer service levels
. I'm shopping around for a new pair of glasses. I might get progressive lenses or I might just get one new pair of reading glasses and one new pair of glasses with intermediate lenses. I have a few different options.
To make a long story short, in the last week I have gone to about 7-8 different optical stores in Toronto. I have been quoted prices ranging from $300 to over $1000---lol.
Here's what happened today. I go into this one big chain optician that begins with an H and ends in M. I am wearing a old pair of shorts and a white t-shirt. The optician quotes me a quick price and says that customers like "myself" usually never wind up buying glasses so she is not going to spend too much time with me---wtf---lol. So I'm out of that store in 3 minutes flat.
Then an amazing thing happened. Just down the street from H is an optometrists office that also sells glasses. The optician was this gorgeous woman from Poland who was absolutely breathtaking to look at. She wound up spending an hour and a half with me answering all my optical questions.
Looks wise she would be the equivalent of a Mirage vip---lol. Her personality and knowledge were also amazing. If she were an sp I would definitely pay $300/hr to see her. What a contrast in customer service between this "hot" optician and that "you know what" from H!
I still have to check out a couple of other optical stores, but I might wind up giving her "the business"---no pun intended.
