Join professional opera singer Elizabeth Zharoff, as she listens to Rush for the second time, performing "Tom Sawyer” live.

I grew up on Rush. My father is a drummer and would play this and other Rush all the time. I remember seeing pics of me as a little girl, sleep against the base drum as he would play away. LOL.

Might explain why I am deaf in one ear now but I wouldn’t trade for the memories of my childhood with my dad and his band.

This critique was amazing!

I grew up in highschool listening to Rush. Seeing them live was something else.

Toronto should rename Dundas Square to Peart Square for all that a band from the shitty end of Scarborough gave to the world of music. It’s still not too late.

I hate these "listening" videos.

Then why are you here? Watching it? Posting about it? You don’t have to watch it. 😂😂😂😂

If you put it to vote Neil Peart Square would take it by 90% of the vote. Why promote slave culture, Olivia Chow doesn't understand West African history.

There are dolts who claim Alex Lifeson is a shit guitarist, they are full of shit. They suggest that Rik Emmett should have been Rush's guitarist. Emmett was asked about it and he said, "if I was a member of Rush, we'd break up after two years". Lifeson is exactly what Rush needed.

Triumph were set up to be the polar opposite of Rush. Levine and Moore were good musicians but Emmett was on another level. Eddie Van Halen would not have recorded Eruption if he hadn't heard Rock and Roll Machine.

Gil Moore is singing.

Scarborough? I thought it was North York?
Thought Tom Sawyer was annoying when it first came out but it does grow on you.
Liked their older stuff although I know Gene Simmons thought lyrics such as "I have dined on honeydew" to be pretty funny.

Neal was from St. Catherines. There is supposed to be a memorial at Lakeside Park honoring Neal.

Willowdale, which might be part of North York now.
