Went to Home Depot today to buy some items for work, met an aquaintance at the contractors desk that I hadn't seen for a few years, started yakking & catching up,,,, ,He finished his purchase, we walked out of the store, our vehicles were a few spaces apart, talked for another 15 or 20 minutes probably.Suddenly, I realized the 10 items (about $30) I had were loose in my hand, no bag, then , Oh, Shit, I never paid for them
I went back into the store & explained what had happened, all was cool with them, but just goes to show you, had I been noticed on the way out, could have been alot of explaining to do,would have been embarassing, and as I understand it, charges of shoplifting could be laid in a situtation like that.

IMHO, it won't matter if you went home with the items, as Home Depot has the worse customer service and i am sure the staff at any location could care less if the items were missing or returned by and honest customer like yourself for payment...

My point is, that HD does have security staff & cameras to monitor both customers & staff, and, had I been seen exiting the store without having paid, they very easily, and rightfully so, could have charged me with shoplifting,,,, .

This actually happened to me once i was holding a magazine in my hand from the megazine rack reading it payed for my purchase walked out magazine still in hand. Needless to say I walked right back in when I realized but was suprised the girl didnt say anything while I was in line.

what happen to the electronic tags? ...shoudn't they gone off... I thought they all have .... i guess not
