Onto the overly steep slope - Danny Masterson fired

Netflix has just fired Danny Masterson, who was a co-star of the The Ranch.

He has been accused of the sexual assault of four women.

However as he points out the accusations are over 15 years old, where investigated at the time, and no charges were brought. Apparently an investigation has been reopened but has gone nowhere in over a year.

"From day one, I have denied the outrageous allegations against me. Law enforcement investigated these claims more than 15 years ago and determined them to be without merit. I have never been charged with a crime, let alone convicted of one. In this country you are presumed innocent until proven guilty. However, in the current climate, it seems as if you are presumed guilty the moment you are accused."

They say, whether it is true or not, that the head investigating officer frequents the Scientology celebrity center socially. One of the mantras of Scientology has, apparently, been to have law enforcement with you and not against you.

What does knowing what he was accused of have to do with it? We still don't know if it's true or not.

I find it interesting that all these institutions are firing these men before they've been proven guilty of any crime. Can't the men go after them for wrongful dismissal?

Which implies that in the late 1990's when the District Attorney's Office did not charge him the Los Angeles Police Department was utterly corrupt, worse than in 1928.

I'm sorry but it is my experience that no conspiracy like that can survive for years. Good Heavens even Ultra/Magic was in fact leaked but given its seriousness was decided that pretending it hadn't happened (since it was implied not flat out stated) made it less likely that the Japanese would find out.
