Ontario Strengthens Supports for Human Trafficking Victims and Survivors

I'm all for saving people who have been taken against their own will and in support of cracking down on human trafficking. As I'm sure many like minded people here feel the same way.

However we know the public dialogue often mixes trafficking with all pay for play scenarios. And talks about all like it is one scenario.

Which isn't always the case, since I am friends with some women in this business and know don't do this against their own will and have their own personal reasons they enter willingly. Hope that this funding isn't going after the pay for play scene in general and is legitimately used for resources on cracking down on true trafficking.

Exactly! These so called saviour groups place every escort under the trafficked umbrella. Ford must have been receiving pressure from the batty Canadian religious groups and he's trying to please them. I hope he doesn't pull off the same shit Harper did or all his good work in the pandemic goes to shit and the Provincial PC's once again have lost my vote. The Pc's should stick to fiscal policies not social justice issues, trying to create a Leave to Beaver world

The fact that there are such organizations that really care about the safety of people is very good! Because anti-trafficking organizations are trying to do something to help prevent what is happening in the world. Human trafficking and prostitution are global and terrible problems. But we can try to stop them. We just need to work together. I can advise you to study the issue of human trafficking philanthropy and become one of those who help fight it.
