All the services I found online were for US. Does anybody know of a at home STI kit available in Ontario?

Do you mind sharing why you don't want to go to a clinic? Is it fear of being spotted there or more just looking for convenience?

I didn't know there was such a thing as home test kits for STIs. My first reaction was it's probably much better to go to a clinic. I assume that would have less chance for error. And based on my last visit to a clinic (I also was just looking to get a clean bill of health at the time), I think there's so many things you can be tested for, they can recommend what tests should be done based on which STIs are currently prevalent and your history. But on second thought, it seems like a good thing that these exist to encourage people who won't go to a clinic. I wonder if you're having trouble finding them in Canada because HealthCanada hasn't approved them or something.

There's this service for a variety of STI's. But you still have to drop off the test kit at a lab, in person.

There's also this one, but it's only for HIV currently. They are planning on rolling out other STI tests sometime this year.

I found those links through this study about home tests for STI's:
A review of internet-based testing services for HIV and sexually transmitted infections (STIs) | The Ontario HIV Treatment Network (ohtn.on.ca)

Thanks for sharing. It’s just convenience. I also don’t want to be a monthly regular there lol.

I tried the links that you posted but most of them aren’t available in Canada yet. There are a ton of services available in US though. Wondering if there would a market for this in Canada.

Doesn't Health Canada control all of this? Even if there is a market you have to get permission from them. They have to make their money (tax) when it crosses the border.

No problem!
Ah, if it's just convenience, I highly recommend just going to a clinic. I definitely assumed the issue might be running into a wife's friend at a clinic or something .
Unless I'm mistaken, this one has been available in Canada, but they're just saying they're temporarily down for website maintenance. Home - TeleTest.ca

But yea, I'm certain there's a market. I assume it's just about if and when HealthCanada will approve the catch-all tests you see in the US. Because I think we tend to have more stringent standards than the FDA.

Just go to a regional health clinic if you want to avoid your family doctor. Either way all results are private and released to you.

Getting checked once or twice a year should be more than enough.
